Zombies: they’re dead, they’re dumb and they’re seriously dangerous, but we can’t get enough of them and it seems we’re not alone in our affection for the undead. Zombie fever is a worldwide epidemic and the infected are turning up in the most unusual places. In fact they’ve even started appearing at paintball parks, but what exactly is zombie paintball?

Here’s everything you need to know about zombie paintball..

First things first, you’ll need to know where to find the infected. Zombies have been popping up at paintball parks across the country, with a huge spike in sightings expected around Halloween. With zombie paintball growing in popularity though, more and more venues are offering zombie paintball experiences all year round.

Some paintball venues are even starting to tailor their game zones to the undead, and you can now battle your way round derelict churches, desolate graveyards and infected zombie towns, which makes fighting the infected even more immersive. Despite initial report the undead aren’t just confined to outdoor arenas either, and if you’re heading to an indoor venue it’s worth remembering that nowhere is safe from the zombie invasion.

Another great thing about zombie paintball is that games can even take place after dark, which means you really have to rely on your senses to survive the night. These truly one-of-a-kind experiences are only available at select venues, but if you’re feeling brave there’s no better way to test your mettle. That’s not to say that doing battle during daylight hours is any less intense though, and whichever you choose you’re in for the fight of your life.

Now we’ve looked at where and when you can play zombie paintball, there’s only one thing left to discuss – the tailor-made missions and games. Each venue offers their own unique games, and whilst at some venues you’ll be engaging in close quarters combat with the infected, at others you’ll be battling rival groups of survivors for essential supplies. Other manic missions include rescuing hostages, protecting VIP’s and sweeping infected towns and villages eliminating the undead – all pretty exciting stuff. So whether you’re battling the infected to contain an outbreak, or searching the scene for weapons and ammo, your combat skills will be put to the ultimate test.
